A lunchtime visit to see historical medical oddities

Today at lunchtime I decided to go to the Warren Anatomical Museum. This place is full of interesting bits, most notably the skull of Phineas Gage and the tamping iron that punched a hole in it.

Also various devices, saws & other amputation devices, some of the scariest huge kindey stones I have ever seen, other skulls, the phrenology exhibit (and who doesn't like that?), skeletons, skeletons of siamese twin embryos, wax models of disease states...

I find these things fascinating, personally.

Like, I'm all for donating one's body to science, but if someone were to put my SKULL in a museum? I would haunt them until the end of their days. I would haunt the museum too. And not in a good way.

They can put my skull in a museum, but only after I've stopped using it.

And I think I have a way out of jury duty for you. When you're being interviewed in person, suddenly get a distracted look on your face and sort of appear to be straining. Then let a look of relief spread across your face as you say, "Ahhh...thank god for adult diapers."
